ALABAMA LAKE HOUSE

The Client wanted to build a 2 bedroom, 2 ½ bath weekend retreat on a large lake in Alabama. Both bedrooms were intended to offer maximized privacy and seclusion to both couples using them. The connection to the outdoors was important to the Client who requested an outdoor room with a fireplace and a fountain that can be sealed with rolling barn doors. All rooms are oriented towards a view of the lake at the rear. The Client requested a highly modern style with CoreTen steel cladding reflecting the Client’s family’s role in Alabama’s steel industry. Because of property boundary issues, this project remains unbuilt.
